
This qualification is designed for anyone entering teaching or
training roles or already in these roles that need to achieve the
minimum threshold status as a teacher in the lifelong learning sector.
By the end of 2010, anyone who teaches courses that are publically
funded will have to be qualified. This qualification introduces the
knowledge and skills required by teachers to develop and deliver
programmes, give learning support and take responsibility in managing
the learning process in post-16 education.

On successful completion of the course delegates should be able to:

Who the course is for: This course is designed for the whole of the
learning and skills workforce: further education (FE) and higher
education (HE), work based learning (WBL) and Adult and Community
Learning (ACL) providers.
Course duration: 30 guided learning hours over 5 days
or 10 evening sessions.
Assessment: One practical and two written assignments. (It is
recommended that there should also be 30 self directed hours to complete
written assignments etc.)
Ofqual accredited: Yes (level 3)
Prerequisite: None
